May 17, 2021

Dear McGee Company team and customers,

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control recently announced new guidance regarding COVID-19 and vaccines. Among other things, the CDC now says that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask in most settings, except where required by state and local laws. People are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine.

Based on this new guidance regarding vaccine effectiveness, beginning May 18, 2021, we are modifying our policy regarding face coverings in some McGee locations.

U.S. locations with no state or local mask requirements – revised policy (Albuquerque, Denver, and Dallas)
In McGee locations where the state or local jurisdiction does not have a mask mandate, we will allow customers and employees who are fully vaccinated to enter McGee without a face mask or face shield. We will not require proof of vaccination for customers (they are required for employees), but we ask for everyone’s responsible and respectful cooperation with this revised policy. McGee Company continues to recommend that all customers and employees, especially those who are at higher risk, wear a mask or shield.

U.S. locations with state or local mask requirements – no policy change (Salt Lake City)
In those McGee locations where the state or local jurisdiction does have a mask mandate, we will follow the state or local regulations and continue to require customers and employees to wear a face mask or face shield. If a customer or employee has a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask, they must wear a face shield.

McGee Company will continue to provide sanitizer stations throughout our buildings, encourage frequent hand cleaning and best practices to stop the spread of infection based on CDC guidelines.  For those who would like to continue to wear a mask, please continue to do so. Please note, employees will be required to abide but customers’ safety requirements while in the field.

As before, our goal is to continue to provide a safe shopping environment for our customers and to provide a safe work environment for our employees, while following public health advice and applicable laws.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.

Sincerely,

Ian McGee

March 2020

First and foremost, our thoughts are with all those impacted by COVID-19. Our employees, distributors and vendors, along with their families and communities, are our top priority here at McGee Company. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 updates, both in our local area and across the nation, in order to stay informed on all CDC and WHO guidelines and recommendations and do our part to minimize its spread.

At this time, we will remain open as an essential business.  Our sales reps will continue to stay in contact with customers in visits if possible while maintaining safety measures, via phone or email while our inside teams will continue sales and shipping out of our warehouses. We are taking the appropriate measures in both our offices and warehouses to limit all contact and keep our products and surfaces clean and thoroughly sanitized. In addition, McGee Company has instructed any employees who exhibit symptoms to stay at home for the recommended 14-day timeframe given by the CDC. These new guidelines have been in effect since mid March.  Will call is still open but adjusted to meet state/local guidelines depending on your local warehouse.

We will continue to do our part in limiting the spread of the virus. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate this together. Our community and team are the core of this company and we hope you all remain in good health and continue to spread positivity during this unfamiliar time. We will keep you informed of any changes to our operations in the coming weeks.
