The protector cap cushions the blow and prevents scratching of coated weights & rims. The two hooks located in the head of this tool easily remove 99% of all lead and non-lead wheel weights, including "clip only" style weights and Asian weights with the tiny hole. This American-made heavy duty tool is economical with replacement hooks 52 and 72.
